No Bread Challenge – Day 5
I really liked today’s workout. It was totally my wheelhouse of workouts. Lifting and sprinting:
For time, 5 rounds, same weight:
- 1 power clean
- 2 front squats
- 3 shoulder to overhead
- Run 200
Rx weight was 85#, so it was a manageable weight because this was a “sprint” workout. I was really excited about this workout. I don’t really have a ton to say about it except it was a really fun workout. I was toast by the time it was over. Those last squats and shoulders to overhead were tough, as was the last run – but I wanted to push hard at the end. My goal was to finish in less than 8 minutes. I think my time was 7:42 or 7:46. I honestly can’t remember what I put up on the white board, but I know it was one of those two.
One thing that I’d like to share today is a video that I came across of Julie Foucher. She placed 2nd in the world at the 2012 Crossfit Games. The video is of Julie from about three years ago. After this video, Julie went on to place 10th in 2010, 5th in 2011, and 2nd in 2012. It’s just a reminder that we all have to start somewhere. And also just something to remind me to not get so frustrated when I fall down (figuratively and literally) as I get better and stronger at Crossfit.
As far as food posting goes, I think that I will post “Yesterday’s Food” in my blog posts because I like writing these posts while my mind is still fresh on the WoD. (Except for today, because I posted about my food last night).
