So my lie was one of I didn’t know the facts, but today didn’t end up being a rest day. I had the chance to leave work at a decent hour and had no good reason why I couldn’t go and workout. I mean, I could have found a bunch of reasons … but I decided to go to the 6:30PM class.
The WOD seemed hard, but doable. It was 4 rounds of an AMRAP 3, with 2 minutes of rest in between rounds:
- 5 box jumps
- 5 pull-ups
- 5 burpees
I mean, 3 minutes. How devastating could 3 minutes be? Turns out…very! Glen was the coach tonight and it was great to be in a class with him again. He used to be our morning coach so he was one of the first coaches that I used to work with. He talked to us about pacing and how important he was for this WOD. Technically, our scores for each round should be the same (that’s what he told us). I tried to work on my kipping banded pull-up. I need to pinpoint what I was doing correctly for some of the reps because it really helped on some of them. But I was only doing it when I wasn’t really thinking about it. When I was thinking about it, I was over-thinking it and my pull-ups seemed weak. Just a note for myself to work on a bit more.
Final scores: 3+2 / 2+14 / 2+10 / 2+10
I stayed pretty consistent, but lost gas at the end. It took me almost a full hour to catch my breath after the end of the workout. I was toast (and still am as I type this).
Since I’m posting tonight, I’ll post what I ate today:

- sashimi, cucumber roll, spicy mayo, salad
- Crossfit Cobb salad from Salem Foods (see deliciousness below!)
- 2 scones (paleo scones)
- coconut chips
